तेजी से घटते जमीनी जल स्तर और बड़ते प्रदुषण की वजह से वातावरण पर पड रहे दुष्प्रभाव की वजह से लगातार बारिस की कमी हो रही हैं | अगर पानी का संरक्षण नहीं किया गया तो आने वाला समय में भीषण संकट पैदा हो सकता हैं |हर घर नल और हर नल में जल मगर गए नलो का अधिकतर क्षेत्रो में दुरूपयोग हो रहा हैं| अधितर पानी की व्यर्थ बरबादी हो रही है इसे रोकना होगा |

पुराने जमाने में जल जमाव के लिये बावड़ियो का निर्माण किया जाता था | जिससे इलाके में पानी की कमी होने पर इन बावड़ियो का इस्तमाल किया जाता था | इन बावडियो की वजह से जमीन के अन्दर पानी के स्तर के वृधि में भी मदद होती थी| आज के समय में जमीनी जल स्तर का धड़ल्ले से बेखोप इस्तमाल हो रहा हैं | जिसकी वजह से जमीनी जल स्तर में तेजी से कमी आ रही हैं |आज इन बावड़ियो की हालत इस्तमाल ना होने की वजह से और देख-रेख ना होने के कारण बेहद ख़राब हो चुकी हैं | इनके जीर्णो-उद्धार की सख्त जरूरत हैं|

Jal he jeevan ha should be our motto and it is applicable for all of us. Save water and preserve rain water is needed in this drive and work for water conservation projects in our area which are located in hilly areas. Mostly hilly areas have more rain and we should work for storage of rain water and help others to get more water where there is storage of water. Jal he jeevan ha.

जल संरक्षण के लिये सभी को मिलकर कार्य करना चाहिये।भूगर्भ जल स्तर बढ़ाने के लिये कुओं,झीलों तालाबो,पोखरों और नदियों के जल प्रवाह कम करने और प्राचीन जल संग्रह स्रोतों के संरक्षण पर ध्यान देने की जरूरत है।वनों के क्षेत्रों को बढ़ाने तथा वनों पर चलने वाले कुल्हाड़ी को रोकने के लिये सरकार को ध्यान देना होगा।
